Inspired by necessity
Headquartered in Grand Forks, the company began shortly after Van Larson developed a non-skid product called Sure Foot, which also became the company’s name. He got the idea for the product when his mother slipped and fell on the ice. Brothers and partners Van and Jon Larson founded the company and celebrated their first sale on Feb. 2, 1984.
Today, the company manufactures and distributes more than 2,000 SKU’s. Some of the product lines include winter traction aids, shoe care, outdoor apparel, headwear and specialty adhesives. While many of our products are inspired by necessity, love of the outdoors, or just the desire for simplicity, all are based on original concepts and offer great value to our customers through superior design and function.
From humble beginnings
Sure Foot has been proving that great things come in small packages for more than 20 years. Although we started small, we have rapidly grown to become one of the Midwest's leading manufacturers and marketers of traction aids, footwear accessories, shoe care, and outdoor apparel, including an exclusive line of National Rifle Association hunting clothing and gear. Despite our growth, we have never forgotten our small business roots and are proud of our Midwestern business values. Based in the Red River valley of North Dakota, we understand what it takes to deal with extreme conditions and temperatures. We take pride in using quality materials and we remain dedicated to offering the best in products and services to all customers, big or small.

- Innovative licensed and private label hunting clothing and shooting sports products, featuring specialized, licensed camouflage clothing inspired by our passion for the outdoors
